NXP wants to be ‘best in its class’ in the semiconductors-market. A personalised site is an important instrument for the broad oriented as well as the specialised design engineers.
TriMM conceived a concept and redesigned the site so that users can access or be offered the needed information in one click.

Liquid Web
The most important basic principle in the design of the new NXP site is the flexibility of the site for the user. Therefore we start with a so called ‘Liquid Web’. Because of that the site is quick and user friendly: the site applies itself to the user. Every user can make his own settings, through which he can get ‘made to order’ information on his own ‘homepage’. By making use of the Single Page Interface he can, without refreshing the page, continue to click forth. In the future NXP can use this concept to offer ‘made to order’ information based upon users’ interests, without having to go to the actual site.

Communication with Users
TriMM’s concept resulted in the first setup of the site. This site is under continuous development. There is constant communication with the users about the developments via ‘usability tests’. The in ‘backbase’ built site is being researched if the right direction is being taken.
